Day 3
Genesis 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.
21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
Sin brings consequences with it. Not only did Adam and Eve hide from God, but they also clothed themselves to hide their nakedness. They didn’t want God to see them or know what they did. Their fear and shame kept them from going to the one person who could redeem them from all fear and shame.
When you do something wrong, your fear keeps you from doing the right thing and confessing what you did so you can make amends for your actions. You hide behind something that can’t blot out your actions.
After God pronounced judgment on them for their sin, God sacrificed animals and clothed Adam and Eve in their skins.
As Christians, you know only a blood sacrifice could wipe away your sin. God provided the only sacrifice that could take away your sin and cover you at the same time in righteousness, Jesus’ death on Calvary and His blood that cleansed you from all sin.
When you confess your sin, Jesus covers you in His blood so that God cannot see your sin and accepts you as His own.
You cannot hide behind your sin. You need to confess your sin, so God can clothe you. Confession releases your sin so Jesus can cover you in His blood.
Let’s pray: Father, I know sometimes doubt and fear take over and cause me to be afraid of the consequences of my actions. Help me see Your love and forgiveness clothe me better than anything I can provide for myself when I come to you in true humbleness of heart and soul. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Thanks for the study, yeah there are many times when doubt and fear take over and cause us to be afraid of the consequences of our actions but we need to trust God on those occasions too
