With a tropical storm forecast to hit the the gulf states regions I hope and pray the bridge builders learned their lesson from last season and are securing their barges (or moving them into one of the other bays till after the storm has gone inland, especially since as of yesterday all four lanes are completely open restoring traffic flow between Pensacola and Gulf Breeze after 9 months almost to the day when their barges and cranes being used to construct the other bridge that would then when complete house west bound traffic while the span being used (scheduled next January).
It is good that people on both sides don't have to detour almost 40 miles one way to (or more if you used the longer way) to get to the south ends of either county as one route had you going across a 2 lane 3 mile bridge across East bay half way between the sections in Santa Rosa county that connects the north and south portion of that count which was a high costing toll bridge (tolls were suspended by the state till they got the bridge fully opened and tolls of 5 dollars one way will start to be collected again starting this Sunday.) And that stretch of road frome the interstate to mid bay bridge will become lonely again. Well we shall see shortly if they learned their lesson and are making securing their rigs.

Stay safe. I hope you aren't in a flood plain. There's a ton of rain from this storm. I hope the barges are secure.

It's Florida. We're pretty chill here when it comes to storms. Until they're sure it's going to make an impact, nothing of note will be done.

I agree hopefully they have learned but I am not convinced it is so.
