Tropical storm Claudette that has been in the Gulf of Mexico a few days now is moving inland. The damage has been from Louisiana to Florida.
Many homes and business in Florida have been damaged. But some of the worst damage so far is in Brewton, Alabama.
A tornado destroyed homes and other buildings. The town is about 60 miles north of Pensacola, Florida. The photo above shows homes destroyed in Brewton, Alabama.
I hope any of you in this path will stay safe and check in if you can. These storms are so unpredictable and can cause so much destruction.

Thank you, Carol we couldn't even get nothing on tv. Our cell phones kept dropping calls. I was afraid the lights would go off. So I cooked real early. The rain came earlier than we thought. We were worried.

That is horrible how much damage they do and they go on to somewhere else while people have to clean up the mean if they can what they left behind. I hope it does not come your way. I grew up in Minneapolis and I remember tornadoes but I never experienced one. I experienced a flood and then came to Israel and experienced an Earthquake.

I agree about floods. I will never ever be able to replace what I lost. It was very freaky experience. The water came in so fast that my couch floated up and the firemen had to get me out through the window because too much water at the door and all 4 basement apartments were flooded. The only good thing was that my parents had a laundry/dry cleaning business and my clothes could be saved but lost a lot that I cannot replace and where I moved to one night I had a nightmare that there was water again but nothing when I went to open the door. I was up high so could not get to me. It was an experience one does not forget. Anyone that lost their home in the storm will never forget it. It is so hard to rebuild a life again and especially a house again I am sure.

This is a very sad news. Are such storms and Tornadoes common during this time of the year?
Are people being evacuated to safer places?

That is awful, one time several years ago we visited an area that had been devastated by tornadoes. Friend donated a chainsaw. It looked just like that.
