Day 7
Genesis 13:14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
15 For all the land which you see, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.
16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
18 Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD.
Where do you worship God? Most people go to houses of worship. Some in their homes.
Abram journeyed where God led him. Everywhere he went, God spoke to him and Abram built an altar and worshiped.
As Christians, you worship God when you pray and give Him the honor due Him for all He did for you. You worship God when you spend time in His presence.
You know Abram spent much time in God’s presence because God spoke to him on many occasions.
People still build altars, places of worship. They plant churches. They go where people never heard the name of Jesus, or where His name is little known.
Jesus’ command to His disciples was to go to the nations and spread the gospel to everyone.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
His disciples went throughout the known world, planting churches everywhere they went. You know about Paul’s missionary journeys. He planted churches and kept in touch with them so they wouldn’t lose their faith.
Where is your altar? Where do you spend time in God’s presence? Do you spend time in God’s presence wherever you go? Or do you leave Him behind when you take trips or vacations? Do you tell others about Jesus at every opportunity?
Your altar is where you meet God. Spend time with Him daily and He will lead you on your journey and give you His promise to be with you in everything you do. As God promised Abram land and offspring, His promise to you is to lead you and be with you. You are never alone when God is with you.
Let’s pray: Father, let Your presence always be with me as I build my altar wherever I am and worship You for all You give me. Help me tell others about You as I journey through this life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

And he (Satan) said to him (Jesus),
Then the devil led Him up to a high place and showed Him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.
"I will give You authority over all these kingdoms, and all their glory,” he said. “For it has been relinquished to me, and I can give it to anyone I wish.…"
Luke, chapter 4, verses 5 & 6.
In light of what Satan said here to Jesus, I wonder when he got control over the Earth.
At the time of your Bible reading, it appears that control of the Earth was still under God's hands, and he could give it to whom he wanted to give it to too.

@just4him Yes, Satan got control, but these verses show us that it is really only a pretend control.
God is still in control, and he can allocate out the land too, whenever he wants to do so.
It really all still belongs to God. The Devil only thinks that he has control, and we might think so too, if we are fooled by him too.

@innertalks If it was a pretend control, Jesus would have refuted it when confronted by Satan in the desert. He didn't. He broke Satan's control on the cross.

@just4him What I meant was that the Devil did not control all enough to be able to stop God from being still able to step in sometimes.
God directly stepped in and helped many directly, even while the Devil was still in control.
Think of how God talked to Moses, and appeared to him directly too.
The Devil does not /did not have complete control, otherwise, there would be no hope for us all, especially the ones, who lived before Jesus Christ broke the control again, with his own sacrifice for us, to rescue us from the clutches of the Devil.
