Homophobia and xenophobia around BTS

There is nothing new in telling that BTS has been a very successful boy band, in-spite of all the hardships they face. But the amount of homophobia and queerphobia that people build around them just to find something to hate on them is sickening. Just the other day my friend told me, "Jimin looks manly in this picture. Good for him" It was coming from the hatred towards him that he can usually come out as feminine. But people have to understand that femininity isn't something to be hated on. It just makes him more appealing. I immediately corrected her saying "Whether he is manly or feminine, I'll still like him as the person he is. Because he is beautiful." Do you have conversations like this too? And how do you deal with homophobia?

Even if someone doesn't agree with others, why be so rude about it. I think everyone should be treated with kindness.

Yes. Being quiet doesn't take much effort. The need to just 'hate' or tell 'something derogatory', makes them feel like they've done something cool. While it just makes them look really rude and an unapproachable person.

I ignore them because there's no use explaining to someone who has decided to hate no matter what. But if the person is genuinely interested I would try to explain to him why homophobia and xenophobia are bad. Also, We should respect their private and personal business. At least give them the respect that they truly deserve. Because they are making people happy and saving lives all around the globe.
