It worked !

The Shepherd's pole still leans a little, and it's not the neatest looking arrangement, but at least the pole doesn't lean on the brick wall anymore! I wound some gardener's wire around the pole where the wingnut/screw is to make the pole higher or lower, then brought it down to where the handles are on the bucket, and wound the wire around those. Again, it's still leaning a tad, (guess I should have pulled the wire tighter?) but not as bad as it was. Now I just need to get a hold of some good potting soil so that I can plant the poppy seeds that I bought. Things are coming together...slowly, but they are.

It should stand straighter once you get the potting soil in there.

Maybe soil or stones to ensure it stand straight and firm.
