My kids' last day of school was Wednesday. So now they're official on summer break.
It's been nice not having to worry about lunches and being able to let them sleep. They're definitely happy to have the time off and being able to have fun and be kids.
Here's to summer break!!

Our kids are done this week too, I think.
We have a family member who graduated from grade 8 a couple of days ago.
It was a drive thru graduation, I stopped in to their home yesterday with a card for her and some money.
High school can be expensive.

All my grandkids have finished school too and everyone is ready for summer break.
You're probably happy to be able to sleep in and not have to worry about getting the kids off to school.

Aw, that's wonderful. I remember those days when my kids were school-aged and how much we all enjoyed their summer breaks. I knew a lot of parents who didn't like school vacations because their kids drove them crazy, or both parents worked and they had to set up day camps or daycare for them in the summer. I was fortunate to be able to work from home, and we embraced their time out of school, days to sleep late, no stress about missing the school bus, etc. And then when they hit high school, I worked for a school also so had the same vacations that they did. My kids are all in their 20s now, so enjoy it while you can.
