Another Very Hot Day Outside

Most people look for nice bright sunny days but here in south Florida, I am not one of those people. First thing I do in the morning after getting dressed and making the bed, I open the sliding curtains and open the screen door to see how hot it is. That sets my day.
Once I see how hot it is already, I get put in a good mood or not. I hate the hot weather we have down here so I have to get my mind in the right place. By checking the weather right away, that will decide what I am going to be doing all day. When it is so hot, like today, at 8am, I know I am in for the day. Then I plan what I want to clean or if I prefer to write to friends or call them. The house is nice and cool as the air conditioning never goes off. Between the heat and my allergies, I will be staying in a lot today.
I hope you all have a great day.

Are you originally from Florida? What is keeping you there? I have lived in North, Central, and South Florida, and was miserable. I spent most of my time there indoors. It was so hot and humid (even in 30°F weather), and I am allergic to so many things native to Florida (including cockroaches and palm trees) that my doctors told me, for the sake of my health, get out and stay out. Moving isn't always easy. But, jobs are everywhere.
Your health is of the utmost importance. If it is not good in Florida, then getting out would be best. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and have lived in New Hampshire. So, I know my health would improve once I moved to a Mid-Atlantic or New England state (I have not been west of Alabama and Tennessee).
I live in New York state now, and my health is so much better than it was in Florida.

I have a very stubborn husband and he has had many medical issues. I agreed to move here for him but no matter how much I complain, he never hears me. Lately I am thinking more about going back north.
I am from New Jersey and then lived in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. I loved the cold and snow but it is so expensive to live up there these days.

@DocAndersen We didn't get anything from that storm but the season is new and we have lots of time to get our share.
