Don't Judge

"will not be judge by the color of their skin ...., but by the content of their character." How about do not judge at all. Appreciate the good in human takes the complexities of judging characters. After all, not all can claim they are good judges of character. Leave the judging to the Creator. Getting along by the merits of actions, not by the color of skin, creed, sexual orientations, intentions or even character, keeps us all in the present.

You are right, we are all equal in the eyes of God, and only he can judge us with equanimity. We must respect differences and leave the work of judgment to our Lord.
