Played music with a friend yesterday.

A friend and I took a short hike near his house and then played some tunes together yesterday. Actually, it was Michael, the fella who records the music that @Vandana7 and DJ post on YouTube. It was sunny but cool yesterday--not quite pool weather--so I'm glad we got a hike in. I get to give some guitar lessons later today (Tuesday), but other than that, it might be a relaxing day. How was your Monday?

Monday was okay. Pretty and I stepped outside to go on our walk and got attacked by small blue wasps on our front porch. (I'm having an allergic reaction from that. At least the epi-pen took care of the pain and itching. Pretty has some nice welts from getting stung, too.) Needless to say, we didn't go walking...
Wiki says blue mud dauber wasps aren't dangerous and aren't aggressive. All we did was walk out onto our front porch and they swarmed us. (I went out last night with a flashlight and a can of Raid... They won't be bothering us again.)

@TheHorse No. The nest I sprayed was under the eaves. They built it between two rafter ends. And our front porch is concrete. There's no way we even caused anything to vibrate when we stepped out.

Did they have a nest under the porch? I got swarmed by hornets in Indiana many years ago. I was running down (the steps of, spiraling left) a look-out tower and stirred them up by jumping on the landing under which (unbeknownst to me) they had their nest. I got about six painful stings but survived.

Love the photo. I picture you doing a bunch of train songs like that Johnny Cash “ride this train” segment on his TV show every week…..
I had a hot Monday, but thankfully my air conditioner works fine.

Great photo. Glad you were able to play some tunes. It's been 90ish here for a while. Cold front comes through today and tomorrow...then back into the 90s. My Monday was OK. Meals on Wheels came and we received part of our Walmart order -- just necessary stuff. Have a good Wednesday.

Heh. One of my rituals when I drive to Great Falls MT it to stop at a certain rest area, climb up the adjacent hill, and see what the tracks look like at various times of the day. I may have another version of this photo where I "enhanced" the sunset a bit.
