My nephews get there hands on the adult violent games then act them out..Some of its very graphic and gory stuff.they hide it from there parents but there babysitter has seen them playing the game taken it away and they keep getting new rated m games..The parents have banned the games..But soem parents dont and they play them at a friends house..Do you agree and think its a bad idea ?

Wouldn't preaching responsibility and penalising parents who aren’t responsible with their children be a greater improvement to society? On the basis of that, let's ban films that aren't suitable for children, music and so on?

There should be. It's a shame that people can't just raise their kids right without outside interference.

I agree, but there is one thing that prevents these gaming regulation laws from going into effect: The First Amendment. Free Speech must apply to video games as they do books and TV shows, and it does. Instead of making laws that interfere with the Framers' wishes, we must educate the general public about video games and which games are violent or not. I think that is what we should be spending our time with, instead of just blaming the game publishers and gamers in general.

In England it's a punishable act of giving a child an 18+ game the store can be penalised.
