Yesterday, on 1st July, 2021, Delhi High Court ruled that it should be "the duty and obligation of every RWA (Resident Welfare Association) or Municipal Corporation (in case RWA is not available) to ensure that every community dog in every area has access to food and water in the absence of caregivers or community dog feeders in the said area". The dog-lovers countrywide are elated. But we have to watch its implementation. Are there any such laws in your area ?

Dog lovers should be elated but then we should have things in control. We can not let the street animals multiply. They can be a real menace at times. We do feed a few dogs in our locality. In fact there are few bowls in front of our apartment gate and one animal lover resident takes care of feeding of few dogs and cats. Other residents give the food to her. She is in charge of that and makes sure that no crap is fed to dogs and they don't get sick.
