Do you like your bacon crispy? Or mushy? And other important questions.

It's morning here and I am cooking up my usual bacon and eggs. I like my bacon mushy. If some poor pig or turkey is going to die for my sins (I am a devoted member of PETA [People Eating Tasty Animals]) I want to honor them by tasting their animalness.
It's the same with steak (apologies to my Indian friends). I like it rare. Almost mooing, in fact. And what of our vegetarian friends? Do you like your vegetables al dente (to the tooth)? or mushy. I prefer slightly al dente.
Man, do I write some profound posts.

@DaddyEvil You are demoted from your position on my friends list if you say a single bad thing about Okra. Okra is holy dish.
Ridge gourd is very tasty. Vitamin B6, dietary fiber, and Vitamin A. You cannot afford to pass that up.

Ridge gourd isn't eaten here. It's used as a scrubbie in the shower. Mom used to grow it when I was a kid. We call those Luffa.
I agree, cauliflower and broccoli aren't at their best when they get mushy. Okra tastes nasty no matter how it's cooked and the entire species of plant should be destroyed and banned planet wide!

I wouldn’t say mushy it makes me think of water bacon which would be a shame to the bacon your cooking or that it’s like mash potato’s and just a purée now. I go with the word chewy or soft. Personally for myself I like mine to have a bit of crips not to crispy where it’s dried out I just a like a good mixture of crispy to chewy.
My husband likes his bacon chewy so I tend to do a split with bacon when I good so there is 50/50 of whatever one likes.

@TheHorse where are you getting blood from? Bacon doesn’t have blood in? I’ve never had a blood bacon?
I like crispy bacon but the chew part just means it’s cooked but not for as long as crispy. It’s like toast the longer you heat up for the browner it’s going to get it.

I want my bacon to taste like bacon. As long as it's not attached to the pig anymore, I'll eat it! YUM!
And I agree about the cow... slap it's butt and when it gets close to my plate, slice me some off!

@DaddyEvil I love lamb chops, goat, chicken, fish and sometimes I don't mind having turkey.

I like crispy bacon, but not so crispy that it breaks when you try to stick a fork in it.

@TheHorse No, but I don't need to have meat at every meal to feel fed.

I prefer oatmeal that can stare me down and win.
I rarely eat beef because I have a mild allergy (not severe like pork and seafood), but I like my burger well done.
Veggies depend. I like cauliflower raw, but cooked I want it the consistency of the aforementioned oatmeal.

Bacon is good anyway it is fixed. Steaks have to be well done. Vegetables should not be cooked too long.

This is the kind of profound post that will get people to respond. Not politics or religion or philosophy. So do what works. I want my bacon slightly crisp but not so sharp that it cuts my mouth.

Bacon crispy. Steaks medium well, more towards well. I like my bell peppers almost raw when cooking them. Spaghetti noodles, just cooked, thank you.
