In Which Season Do You plant Tree Saplings?

In our country, people plant new tree saplings in the rainy season. The soil is wet this time of the year and you don't need to water the new plants . They get their much needed water and food from the soil. By the end of the season they become strong enough to survive the dry winter. However, it would be beneficial if you pour some water at their roots occasionally. Here in the picture is a lemon sapling, which has already grown three feet tall. I must plant it today in our garden. It is a special variety. Its fruit grow much larger than ordinary lemons. Sometimes, people mistake its fruits for grape fruits. Grape fruits ( batabi lebu in Bengali) develop color inside and grow sweet to some extent , whereas lemons remain sour and their juice contain more of citrus. How mother Nature provides fruits needed for the season inspires us to be thankful! When the days are hot and humid a tumbler of lemon juice sherbet is the much loved drink!

Depends which part of the world one lives. Here March seems the best month but with nature acting weird it is just a hit and miss method these days

I would say the same, but it depends on where you live. We really don't have a "rainy" and dry season. Well, we do, but Florida plays by its own rules.

In the US this depends on the type of plant you have and the soils where you live. Most are planted in the spring time which isn’t in the being of June or end of May.

Here in the US, there are reigons related to the type of climate that area has. The reigon will dictate planting dates for each tree, crop or plant. Springtime is normally best to transplant trees or shrubs, after the threat of frost has passed. Some can also be transplanted in autumn. I do most of those things in mid-February.

I think we'd plant after summer at least - when the weather is not so hot.
