Salad is a healthier choice?

Maybe. I mean, the correct salad would be healthy. Unless we decided to add more food or ingredients in it, thus raising the calorie count. But for me, salad also meant I was lazy to cook This is my salad from last night. Lettuce, cherry tomatoes, corn boiled with chicken (which later shredded). The dressing was roasted sesame, my favourite. I don't need to make lots of preparation. Just let the chicken boiled. Then shredded it. Cut the lettuce and cherry tomatoes. Put them all in a bowl and pour the dressing. Easy way to eat

We don't add anything in salad. For us salad is pieces of fruits and vegetables like onion, cucumber, green chilly etc mixed together. Yes they are calorie free and good for the health.

It sounds good but I'd use blue cheese dressing... YUM! (I've never tried roasted sesame dressing.)

@DaddyEvil I also don't like boiled egg but I never see blue cheese salad dressing, so I can't say I didn't like it. Why? Does it stink that bad?

Roasted sesame tastes a bit tangy. I've tried the other dressings but I don't like them. So I'll just stick with this one for now.

@prinzcy I use Blue Cheese salad dressing in place of mayo on my sandwiches. Pretty says it stinks... but she doesn't like boiled eggs, either.

I don't really like salad before. Maybe I didn't find the dressing that I like. I even tried thousand island but I still didn't like it.

Nothing wrong with a quick meal once in a while. If you like it, it's a good way to get in the food groups.

Too healthy! But I do eat just salad without dressing with rice. But usually it won't be lettuce. They would either be plant or herb we pick around.

I like salads and your right very easy to prepare. Sliced chicken is a great salad addition one I've often used too. With the arrival of summer I can now add my home grown tomatoes from my garden. So much better than store bought. Dried cranberries or raisins is something I like to add too.

Looks delicious.Chicken sesame salad is one of the healthiest salad. Our salads means no dressing. Just plain slices or diced cubes of tomato, cucumber, beet, radish, carrot and onions. Any salad with more of greens like kale, spinach, beet greens, watercress and Romaine lettuce can be considered healthy.

That's another type of salad which I would eat without dressing sometimes. Some would eat with chili paste call sambal belacan here, which is made of chili, shrimp paste, lime, salt and sugar.
