I invested a large sum of money

Oh yeah. I took a loan and invested it to start a business with my colleague. Why did I did that?
I was thinking that I earn almost that much in a year and didnt got any returns. Instead, that much was spend on every needs and wants with no savings so I thought, it's better to risk that much money in a business coz I'll be expecting returns in due time.
Now, a year and a half past and I haven't got a single penny from our business due to pandemic. Our business is still surviving but expecting returns for now is far from reality. But I do hope before this year ends, I'll be getting something

I dont have that much savings to start a business out of my own pocket thats why i took a loan. The interest is just minimal so i grab it.

It's a frozen goods business. Still up and running despite the pandemic but with no ROI yet

Yes. True. We have customers already. The problem mostly is the supply of goods due to pandemic.

If the business plan and management of the business is strong, you should eventually see returns. But it is also true that most new business ventures fail within the first 5 years. That has to be a risk you are willing to take when you invest.
That being said, I would never take out a loan to make an investment.

@renicemae I have invested without using some of my own money in the past, but never via a loan, but rather with other investors as a partnership.
Either way, I hope this works out well for you in any event, and do keep us posted.

I guess that is the risk that you were not expecting to happen "The Pandemic". I think you just entered at the wrong time of the year that made your projections go wrong. But I am glad it is still doing business despite the hardships that we are having right now. I think that it is worth the wait and the effort for as long as the money is still pouring in and you can still pay your debts as well then I say that is still good.

@renicemae I think you will need a lot of patience and resilience to survive financially and wait for the ROI at a later time. I think those businesses that can surpass a crisis are the ones that will be able to prosper after that. If you can reach that point then you can pat yourself for being a survivor.
