Barbecue Hack (Tip) Keeping All Your Condiments in One Place

Over the 4th of July Holiday weekend I had family over for a barbecue. A variety of foods were served including sausage, hot dogs, chicken kabobs, and hamburgers. We used a buffet style serve yourself method, putting the items on a table which went much smoother than a sit down style dinner. Well, while browsing the internet I came across this "hack" for a better way to serve condiments at a barbecue. The article suggested I use a muffin tin as a serving device? Yes, that's right, instead of baking muffins in it, fill the cups with various condiments and barbecue toppings. This way your condiments are easy to access and your guest lines can move along quickly. You will also dramatically increase your table space, and cut down on the separate serving bowls to clean up afterward. I tried it and although "weird looking" it worked out fine. Next time I'll bake some muffins in that pan first to serve for dessert. What do you think of the hack? How do organize your family parties and get togethers? Any tips? A Life "hack" refers to any trick, shortcut, skill, or novelty method, that increases productivity and efficiency in all walks of life according to Wikipedia. Hey whatever works! I can't have any barbecues here without getting my deck rebuilt..it is dangerous at this point. I used to have them though. I will go out on it, but I know where to walk..

I am too picky with hygiene... what if someone put the spoon in his/her mouth and then use the spoon to take the sauce from the muffin pan?... I will continue with individual cups.

@dgobucks226 I have seen most of those tricks on YouTube from "5 minutes craft". If you microwave a lemon for 30 seconds "it explodes". But if you roll it gently on the counter you can extract more juice... if you use an electric juicer it is the only way to extract ALL the juice. I love the videos where an Australian woman "debunk" all those silly advice showing what really happens if you follow them.

I see... Maybe you'll like one of these better. - Use an electric carving knife to slice watermelon. Makes cutting a lot easier. - When making lemonade, microwave the lemon first for 10-30 seconds to make them juicier. - Use a lemon or even a half an onion for cleaning your grill plates. If the food is really stuck on use a bunched up ball of aluminum foil.

I use plastic squirt containers for condiments. It keeps the bugs and double dippers at bay. I just fill them up ahead of time and they work well. I dump the remainders that have been out for hours and wash the containers for next time.

A good idea. We don't have any parties or get-togethers. Most of our family has passed; and our friends are mostly out of town.
