Hectic past couple of days with various errands and home chores. Thereby catching up with the news was a bit disconcerting. Just learned a new weather terminology from California - fire tornado; and a health condition from India - Zika virus. Worrisome though the news are, a report from China was unnerving. We have known for years now how China had been using stem cells for prolonging life. Something like a fountain of youth. But intervening with human genes to create superhumans is something else. This is man playing God. Abominable!
A Stanford scientist is developing a 'Superhero vaccine' that will prevent death from heart diseases, strokes, liver problems. The jab will be based on the D...

@eileenleyva It's so funny.God gave a beautiful earth to live in.Humans destroyed it and blame it on God for the natural calamities when they are caused by themselves. And now they are doing things which is against nature,it won't be a surprise if nature backfires again

That is worrisomeme that man is playing God when they have access to technology ans science. It is more dangerous if that technology would land in the wrong hands and use it to protect his own interest.

@eileenleyva True this could pave the way to the elimination of many races and choose only their preferred group of people to be given that vaccine.

Wow I like the idea but I am worry about the side effect that it could bring. If it really work, it could benefit the man kind as a whole.

Man had an experiment on Dolly the sheep. Not long afterwards, the scientists discovered Dolly had several ill conditions that they had to euthanize the sheep.

@id_peace In every action must be a plan. What could be the plan in creating super soldiers?

The first draft tend to have a lot of problem. Not that I am encouraging them to improve based on the achievement of Dolly.

Pervades the senses, doesn't it, man's quest for immortality? I wouldn't watch Schwarzenegger's 'The 6th Day' ever again. It's tampering with creation.

A new kind of quest of the holy graal... I was reading last week an article about a 11 years old Belgian who had graduated in physics from the university of Anvers. His goal was to become an immortal cyborg and "he had ideas to do that".

Science is beneficial to man. It's abuse of science that is detrimental to man.

Man getting madder. Never contented with our human make-up. Perhaps that is also the reason why we have so many special children. The medicines the mothers had been administered could have caused the conditions.
