My vaccination appointment today...

Good morning from this side of the planet. It's 9:40 AM here and it's a cloudy pleasant morning. I am done with morning chores and exercise and now ready after my shower..
My elder one is attending her online school while younger one and husband are still in bed The house is quiet and I should be heading to the kitchen to make breakfast soon after this post. It's aloo paratha ( Indian bread stuffed with spicy potatoes preparation) for the breakfast menu.
I have a meeting with the parents of the special need child at 10:30 to discuss his progress and give them home program for coming two weeks. So I am working for an hour or more.
My vaccination schedule is preponed and I got a slot for today afternoon at 4:30 PM. It's a three day vaccination drive going in our apartment and they do it once every month. I got a slot for 12July earlier though I wanted one on weekends. If I fall sick, I will have weekends to take rest. Taking it on Monday would have required me to take leave from work. Also, I get more helping hands on weekends. Someone cancelled it at last moment and they accommodated me in today's list.
I just have to come down of my building and enter the club house next to my building, so hardly five minutes of walk to the vaccination center and that's so convenient.
Leaving you with these beautiful blooms from my garden. Hope they make you happy. Have a good time in your mylot corner

What a beautiful looking flower. Good luck with the vaccine. Most people we know have had no side effects whatsoever. My wife & l were fine having both on the same day & same times which was helpful.

I just got it and now I am waiting here. They want me to wait for another 15 minutes. My husband got his shot last week and he had mild symptoms for three days. He needed few paracetamol . We spaced out so that we both don't fall sick together. Good that you and your wife had no side effects.

If you are going for Covishield vaccine, there is a possibility of you getting mild fever or body pain. It would be better to gulp paracetamol tablet during night before you go to bed to rule out any possibility of fever. You may experience pain in the arm till the next two days, where vaccine will be injected.
If it is Covaxin, then you may not get any side affects, only pain in the arm. Your BP should be normal/ within limits, before you go for vaccine. They check your BP before injecting.
All the best.

@dpk262006 All is good so far. I got mild symptoms yesterday with a very sore arm. Today I am much better. The symptoms are gone but the sore arm is still there. It should also go away in few days.

My BP is okay. I don't get high BP. My normal BP range is 110-70. Covaxine slots are over and I have to go for Covishield. I have got paracetamol tablets in house in case I need them.
Thank you for your wishes.

I would also have liked to have such an arrangement closer to my house.
But we are trying for a suitable hospital for our vaccination plus a suitable date.
It still seems as if there are more slots in 45 plus bracket but lesser options for 18 to 44.

That is a great work by your association. But one needs to be careful in such drives. There was a case of a fake drive being conducted in one of the Mumbai apartments last month.

Yes one needs to be more vigilant these days.
People have conned and duped many during these pandemic times.

We are having these regular vaccine drive here in our apartment since March. First two months were for senior citizens and people with co morbid conditions. Then we gave to all helpers.. security, housekeeping, maids, cooks, gardeners etc. They were given free vaccination. Now all of them are fully vaccinated and only fully vaccinated ones are allowed inside the premise. Now it's open for all residents and we need to pay. Our association is doing a good job with vaccination drive in collaboration with BBMP and Apollo hospital.
Have a good weekend

I am going for covishield. They do not have slots for covaxine. It's very limited.
Glad that you liked those blooms. I was happy to see them in the morning and wanted to spread the happiness. Have a good day.

I am glad that it will get over by today. I can rest well tomorrow and just take one day off on Monday if needed. Yes, done with aloo paratha. It's heavy and now no appetite for lunch. I have made khichdi with veggies. But no one is hungry. We might take the same for early dinner
