The smell...that can drive you crazy.

When I was just a child, I used to roam in my fields with my grandfather and uncles to look after the corps, the smell of the soil drove me crazy every time and especially when it was being irrigated...believe me or not, I ate it sometimes but every time I was caught and scolded by my parents...believe me it still drives me crazy.

That smell is tempting, but not to eat. I enjoy the petrichor.

@ASMIT95 Many children do that. It's very common. My daughters did and so did we when we were young.

I use to think that it is some kind of phenomenon between soil and water but later in school they taught that it was because of some bacteria which produces some compound
