Hello everyone, Before few days, there is a monitor lizard came in home and i lock it in room, that time i didn't know that it's dangerous or not. So i called my friend in my home to catch it throw it far from home. So,i and my friends nearly 2 hour try to catch it and finally i hit that animal by stick and when it's just little bit wounded then friend catch it and then we threw it away from home. After that i know from someone and you-tube that it is nothing poisonous. So, friends, Did you know about monitor lizard? And Have you ever seen it?

Picking it up by the tail is much nicer than picking it up by the teeth.

@Butterfingers But you wouldn't even need to hang on if you picked it up by the teeth. It would hang on for you.

You shouldn't talk about your guests that way. What if one of them happens to read this and realize you meant them? Some monitor lizards do have venom. I'm glad you didn't get bitten. It might not feel very good if you did.

I saw videos, in that videos, animal expert told that it's not venom. Yea while catching , it's not try to bite us.

They are pretty popular as pets here in the US. I imagine they're pretty quick and agile making them difficult to catch. They have a pretty good bite too.

@ankurdini Very few monitor lizards have venom. The types sold here are non-venomous. If one got loose in my house, I would still use gloves to capture it. They can bite pretty hard.

I think one of the cats brought one back the other day. We had to capture and released it back to the woods.
