A restaurant called Wally's at Resorts World Casino in Las Vegas served a 60 ounce 190-day dry aged bone-in ribeye porterhouse steak for the whopping price of $20,000. It came with black truffle bordelaise sauce, Pommes Anna (potato cake thing), grilled broccolini, and freshly shaved black truffles. Apparently there was enough food involved to feed about 20 people.
No one actually randomly rolled into the place and ordered the steak. It was served to the Wally's company president and a handful of his friends. I can only imagine how much money they spent on wine to go with the meal. The restaurant has said that there is a limited amount of 200-day aged ribeyes for $1000 each. They are 50-60 ounces like the $20,000 one so I don't really know what the difference is.
I would NEVER pay $20,000 for a steak dinner for 5 or 6. I would NEVER pay $1000 for a steak dinner for myself. It is just so unnecessary.

Wally's at Resorts World Las Vegas served the pricey meal, a 60 oz. 195-day dry aged bone-in porterhouse ribeye from the Brooklyn butcher Fleishers Craft Butchery.

@NJChicaa Aging of beef, to me, brings out flavors that are wonderful. At least that has been my experience. I mean, Black Angus is really just a 21 day aged piece of meat. I'd go straight for the meat as well.
Never stayed on Fremont Street, but been there many, many times. My wife and I used to go to Vegas twice a year for years. Now I think it's been at least three years since the last time we were there.
We may be due for a trip. I actually like Vegas a lot.
Sorry you had to spend so much time in the loo. No fun at all on that one. At least you weren't puking up one of those 3 foot tall drinks. lol

@porwest I don't know what Black Angus is but I know that Angus beef is just a breed of cow. I've read from several meat experts over the years that it isn't worth the extra expense. . . at least for every day cooking.
I'm not a gambler (nor is my ex) and we didn't want to see any of the shows that were available so we pretty much just hung at the pool during the day and ate our faces off at night. I'd love to go back just for the restaurants!

I'd rather pay $100 and go to the lush steak and lobster buffet.
