Good morning, good evening everybody on mylot. It is 8.30 in the morning of Thursday, 15th July. It continues to rain here. There was an orange alert for heavy rains for last 2 days and coming true to predictions it rained very heavily and continue to do so. Hope it will subside by tomorrow. We have not seen sun for past few days. Coronavirus situation continues to be critical worldwide. In India new daily infections hover between 30 and 40 thousands for last so many days. It refuses to come down as it did from 400 thousand to 50 thousand. It continues its uptrend in some states like Kerala. The situation is no different in other parts of the world despite vaccination in many countries. In Tokyo the cases have been reported to be on increase when Olympic is round the corner. Hope it is not postponed again. Hope everybody is fine at their ends. Have a nice day ahead.

same here, everyday is getting worse but still there's a lot of stupid people who doesn't believe in covid19

@msdivkar i know right, there's one time when my friend and i eat but before sit down i was sprayed the chair and table with hand sanitizer and there was like this table with 3 people looked me with weird look, i was like what the heck is wrong with them

In Western Australia, we have closed our borders again to the other states. NSW and Victorian numbers seem to be climbing again.

For the first time we have started hearing about serious infections in Australia. May be your part is still safe. That has to be protected.

@JudyEv That is required. Our government is criticized for opening up too early for travellers from other states last year when our condition was much better than our neighbouring states.

@msdivkar Yes, our part is safe. We get a lot of criticism for keeping out those from the eastern states but we're proving that it works. Our Premier has our full support.

It's not good to have Olympics in Tokyo in this situation. The virus will spread. Hope the committee will take the decision soon. Here rain fell yesterday since morning to evening but today now the sun is out and seems there will be no rain today.

Overall we see countries downplaying the threat of pandemic. We saw full house in stadiums for Wimbledon without any mask or following any social distancing norms when UK has got upwards of 30000 cases per day.

Here it's like no curfew at all...when cases are climbing again in all other places i don't understand why there is no lockdown here
