What will happen to billions of people who are not chosen by God?

This question is for believers in the Bible and God. I started to read more about religion and Christianity lately. The Bible teaches us that only a few people will be chosen. What will happen to the rest of the people? Are they predestined to hell? If they go to hell why are they born if they were predestined to go to hell?

People say a lot of things.
But what does God's word say?
Do all the scriptures on the issue 'fit together'? Do they harmonize?
The Bible explains itself. You don't have to rely on other people's opinions.
When you really know what the Bible says on all these foundational concepts, you will know the truth.
And as Jesus said, 'You WILL know the truth, and the truth will set you free'
Free from confusion, free from anxiety - with a solid understanding of the most important issues in not only the world, but the entire creation.

@abhinalstrikr Yes. People who don't believe in Jesus and God will not be chosen. Even if some people are good they will burn in hell.

@dya80dya That's why it is so important for you to have a clear, scriptural answer to your very important question.
Here's a link to a very short, but helpful little video that explains it really well.
Hope you enjoy it.
and keep asking, keep seeking

Jesus said " The kingdom of God is neither here nor there. It is within you"
In other words, heaven is not a geographical place.
Hell is also not a geographical place.
Both are symbolic.
Where does the Bible even say it is the word of God?
Only one out of 49 authors claimed to be divinely inspired. And even he called himself a liar.
In all the four gospels, Jesus never says Bible is the word of God.
Jesus said " Blessed are the pure in Spirit ! Theirs is the King dom of God "
The loving and kind souls, the gentle and meek souls , the compassionate experience heaven here itself. The crafty, the cunning , the crooked experience hell here itself.
The good man finds happiness even in adversity and the bad man finds unrest even in pleasure.
Jesus did not start a religion. Only a spiritual philosophy.
Chosen people of God are those who understand the difference between religion and spirituality. It does not mean the rest are destined to hell.
Jesus says we are the light of the world. He never said we are born in sin.

@dya80dya I think it was Paul who claimed to be divinely inspired.
It is true from our viewpoint that it looks like good people experience hell here on earth. But we also have to understand that different people have different capabilities and different limitations. The good can go through great suffering without complaining about it whereas the evil people seem to be enjoying life but inward, they are always in a state of unrest. They are never at peace.
Who originally invented the concept of hell is not known to us. But the church has kept on preaching that hell is meant for unbelievers. This is pure nonsense because even Bible does not back it up. Jesus does not say it anywhere. And anyway, there are too many contradictions in the Bible that it cannot be considered as evidence.

2 Peter 3:9 says, '...he (God) is patient with you because he does not desire any to be destroyed, but desires all to attain to repentance'
Revelation 7:9 describes 'a great crowd, which no man was able to number...verse 10 continues saying 'Salvation we owe to our God....'
It was always the purpose of our Creator to have mankind live in peace on the earth - a beautiful family - he said so to our first human parents.
'Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth...'
Just because his purpose was delayed because of their bad choice, doesn't mean his purpose was thwarted.
As many as want to learn about our Creator and live by the principles and laws he has given, that many will be 'saved'

Disbelievers in God and especially if they die in that state, hypocrites, idolaters, the arrogant, those who treat religion as a pastime, have broken the treaty, made fun of God's messengers or reality of Day of Judgment. Murderers, ones misappropriating inheritance especially of orphans, slandering chaste women or claiming divinity for themselves on their own will dwell in hell.

But why someone who doesn't believe in God should dwell in hell? There is not enough proof for God's existence. And a murderer who believes in God will be in heaven if he repents? And a good person who doesn't believe in God will be in hell? Only because he/she doesn't believe?

@dya80dya (Remember) when your Lord extracted from the loins of Adam’s children their descendants and made them testify (saying): ‘Am I not your Lord?’ They said: ‘Yes, we testify to it.’ (This was) in case you say on the Day of Judgment: ‘We were unaware of this.’ Or you say: ‘It was our ancestors who worshipped others besides God and we are only their descendants. Will you then destroy us for what those liars did’?”
