Friday was the most difficult for me. My son's fever did not go down 38.5C despite giving him paracetamol every four hours. I mentioned in one post that I had a tele-consultation and was advised to have CBC test and swab test. Friday afternoon, I had an online consultation with his pediatrician. With my son's fevernot going down, she ordered to have CBC with platelet test, Dengue Antigen test and swab test.
I was able to get a home service testing yesterday. We just got the result that was sent to my email. We are negative for covid test, my son is negative for Dengue antigen test, his platelet is normal, a slight elevated neutrophils. (the cbc result, we got it last night)
We started antibiotics now. Friday night was when his temperature started to normalize. It is just so heart breaking to see your child so helpless and just sleeping through his fever the whole day of Friday. I do not want to experience that again.
He is much better now, no fever, but with a bit of productive cough. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear about your son's health condition but happy that he is covid negative so also not infected with Dengue. Some infection must be there or else he will not run such a high fever for such a long time despite administering paracetamol. Good that you started antibiotics. I wish him speedy recovery.

I'm so glad your son is getting better now. I know it has been such a worry for you, as with any good mother. I hope your son will be out of bed and running around within a couple of days like little boys love to do. My son loved to be read to when he was sick. Find a good book for him and give that a try. I think he will love it!

I just had an infection from a tooth. I had a lot of fever and discomfort to the point that it reached 40 degrees of temperature. Everyone in the world currently feels bad and we automatically think that we can be covid positive. But there are other things that also give you a hard time.
