Why are common people suffering?

According to a recent study globally farmers are producing food for more 10 billion population and now world's population is little more than 7 billion. So why are common people suffering for not having enough food? Why is this injustice for at least for some people in this world? If we talk about poverty we say about population. Is the large population the only reason of poverty? Why are people not talking about failed systems of a country? Why are they not talking about lack of infrastructure, hospitals, schools of the country?

I like the key challenge is the lack of ability to transport food to everyone who need it.

Yes I agree. The killer is the transport cost. The more further it is, the more expensive it is because they have to spend more on the fuel to send the food.

I don't know about the report...but probable cause could be the failed system. Those who need it might be not getting it. For example A country gets good rain and produces large amount of food..while their population is less While B country have adverse climatic conditions and can't produce enough food...and population is high. In such cases it is possible for poor people in country B to not get access to food. So when you say 10 billion people... not all people fall under smae category...all are from different regions, different governments. Probably farmers from well off countries produce more and other country farmers get less yield so the people starve. Just like for example family X is rich and produces food for 10 people and members are 5 in family. Family Y is poor and can produce food for 2 people while the members are 6. So overall data that production is 12 and 4 people are starting can't be correct. In the sma way farmer produce food for 10 billion and people are 7 billion yet starve is not inclusive overall

@FaruMesh There are some organizations which collect leftover food from ceremonies, weddings etc and give it to the needy free of cost.. If such organizations are supported, praised, given awards for their work, recognized by people, and funded by both local and government authorities...this problem would be solved

@CuriousGab Yes you are right in a way, that's what I'm saying system has to change. What about the food which are wasted each year, have you ever look at it. Food is the basic need of every people.

It is because some of the countries produce more food but may be having less demand. Yes population is one of the reason of poverty in a country.

@FaruMesh because they produce less as per the demand.

Most of the time it's when system fails people have to suffer. What about some less populated countries in Africa suffering.

This looks sufficient productions . Well I haven't gone through any report on agriculture production yet. Now my thoughts are either produced food are on demands and supply chain is not properly made or someone is controlling it. Another thought on this is, whether the produced foods are meant for domestic consumption purposes or for exports.

Yes that's an important point. Somebody controlling it? If there is proper supply chains it can be solved to some extend I guess.

I don't think the large population is the reason for poverty. Lack of job skills, people not wanting to work, is the reason for poverty. People who do something about their situation will see a change and no longer see poverty.

People suffer because of lack of basic needs.. specially food and shelter.. People who can't afford to feed themselves, should not make more mouths to feed.. But the main reasons of poverty are corruption and greed..

@FaruMesh Well, if they do have kids, how are they going to take care of them if they can't even afford to feed themselves?..
