I got this "America and Israel solidarity pin" in the mail---thinking they might tell me 'what the big deal is.' Maybe they do; (is it weird that I don't read letters unless I'm 'lectoring' (reading them aloud, usually to record it or for others to hear) or typing them?) "... We hope that you will wear your pin proudly, demonstrating your unwavering support of Israel. "As you know, many in this world have turned against Israel. By showing your support and taking action, you bring hope and comfort to suffering Jews in Israel and around the world! "One other important way you can 'stand for Israel' is by joining with The Fellowship in providing for the dire needs of Israel's most destitute people. The Israeli government cannot always care for these suffering Israelis due to an ever-increasing need for spending on security threats and national defense, which is why your support is so important during this critical time. "Your gift of compassion to The Fellowship will help supply basic necessities such as food, shelter, medical assistance, and more for thousands of Israelis who are in great need. Thank you, and may God continue to bless you." See? Nothing specific about 'Israel,' except that it's government (like America's government) is too concerned about National Security to be concerned about the population's satiety. (That, and 'Jews around the world' are sorta "sending 'child-support' back home (to your less fortunate brothers & sisters).") So, why am I not receiving such 'begging for donations' for MY brothers & sisters in Germany or the British Isles? Or am I understanding something wrong? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Fellowship_of_Christians_and_Jews

@Sathyabo but No reason why I should be "proud to show my possible support"?
