Which is the best island to visit when going to Hawaii?

Ive been all over hawaii and would choose to stay at kauai over any island the rest of my life if i could. The other island are nice but there is just something about kauai that makes it special. maybe its that the people there are so laid back or that it hasnt been developed as much as some places but yet still has enough modern technology to keep you comfortable during your stay. And if you do go there and i would highly recomend staying on the north side of the island if you can.
