I went this morning to Starbucks for cup of coffee. For my surprise small cup costs $3.00 where if I went to Burger King the same size will be one dollar. It test the same so why they charge so much money???

Because Starbucks only does coffee and coffee like drinks and Burgers King does mostly well burgers so they can charge for less coffee knowing they are not going to be selling as much as Starbucks it’s call supple and demand for a reason. You have less you market up you have a lot make it down till the supple dips enough for you to charge more

@coolsite the sell a lot of things with there name on it from cups, some food, different drinks, they also have like water bottles, milk for kids, they sell a lot of different times of cups. A lot of things will change from location to location just like BK a lot of there food items will change based on regions. Also all Starbucks offers all employees get health care not sure if BK offers health insurance or not

So they make big profits selling all these items and not just a coffee . How about giving break to people who like to have cup of coffee but the $3.00 for it kind of not affordable.

Not so expensive unless you convert it to my currency. A Starbucks coffee can cost me almost RM20.

A.n ordinary coffee it is expensive. I go to Starbucks for its caramel macchiato, it is about 5 euros here, but I like the ambiance and can stay an hour to sip my cup while using the wifi

I guess we are paying for the name and not the product.

I have not been to Starbucks in a while. Had no idea their small coffee is that much. Wow! You are paying for the name probably, though their coffee is good.

@coolsite I've not been on the subway since March 2020 I think. I actually like Starbucks coffee. I think it's quality coffee. But it could be priced less. If you go on a subway, train, or bus you have to have a mask on. I heard you get fined if you are caught without a mask. I love living in Staten Island. It feels slightly like a suburb yet it is part of a big city.

Hey you are 100% right you pay for the name and not the quality. I Hope every thing in NY went almost back to normal. Did you ride the subway lately? does everyone had mask? Staten Island is my favorite borough , it is so close to New Jersey where the cheapest home , few million dollars.

Everything is going up due to inflation. The cost of their bills and now having to pay their employees higher, adds up. They also need to turn a profit. They could be charged more than Burger King is for the same coffee.

I guess you are right but we in USA are lucky, this cup of coffee in Japan could run about $10 or more because one guy told that they charge $15.00 for whopper over there.
