Tagalog : Mais English: Maize/ Corn Korean : ??? (ok.su.su) We harvested some of it in the Mountain. My sister's husband did it all from cleaning to planting. This corn is organic and it taste so good. We don't have any machines or Carabao to break the soil .He did it manually and now we are all happy about it because we don't need to buy Corn. Do you have your own Corn field?

@prashu228 , that is called sweet corn. The price of that now per piece is P20 pesos. Before the pandemic 5 for 20 pesos . I was shocked when I asked the price yesterday, it's now P30. I better plant in our vacant lot .

Malay: jagung I don't have a corn field, less likely a corn tree. I would usually buy them at a supermarket.

@rakski, I saw a corn field when I was 6 years old. That was so amazing seeing their stalks so robust, so green and healthy young corns. I was tempted to pick 1 but my sister pricked my right side , so painful, I just cried in vain of wanting.

@florelway, it is stated there in the post, they do not have carabao nor a tractor to plow the field, it was just done manually, therefore few square meters only. It is just my assumption and estimation. You cannot man a cornfield by hectare manually

Where are you from in the Philippines. My family had 10 hectares coco and corn arm/field. When my father got sick of Cancer in the intestine , my father and siblings decided to sell our properties and only left 3,000 square meters each of us children. We spent 100,000 weekly for father's medicine. In fact, I was the one who bought his medicine and dextrose in Cebu or they wee not available in CDO. I rode on water jet. I do not know this time whey water jets no longer operate in CDO only in Visayas.
