Cocktails for my next birthday.

My birthday is August 16th. I am planning a small celebration, only with certain closest guests. It occurred to me that I would offer cocktails, but to be honest I don't know which one to choose because I'm not very wise about cocktails and I wanted to ask for your help to give me ideas.
Do you know of any type of cocktail recipe that I can make and look good in front of my friends?

What they would like to drink may be more important than what you would like to make. If they're your closest friends you already have an idea of their likes and dislikes.
You can plan your cocktails based on their common likes.
If some like rum and some like vodka, you can base your drinks on those two.
It saves by buying only a bottle or two instead of buying many bottles of different booze.
Look up drinks that can be made with what you plan to use.

I was looking at popular drinks from your country and this page came up. I wonder if it could give you any ideas. It appears the recipes are included. It lists 1000+ drinks.

I was going to suggest she carve out small pineapples and fill them with rum, pineapple juice and ice. A slice of pineapple on the rim for show.
But that's a lot of work for cocktails lol.
