Food delivery to the rescue

It's just one of those lazy days when I don't feel like cooking lunch.
So Food Panda lunch delivery it is. It's one of my most frequently used food delivery platforms. They have some pretty cool vouchers and promo codes. Got a MYR8 (approx USD2) discount today for my chicken rice order. Not bad.
Already promised my daughter to make her favourite butter chicken for tomorrow's lunch, so no Food Panda tomorrow.
How often do you order food online and what sort of food do you usually order?

To be honest I have never ordered food online. What we do is have them in take out or to go .We order in the physical store and will eat it at home.

Oh, is it because they don't cover your area or is it just your preference to order takeaways?

We don't have food delivery places where I live, so I've never used one.
Pretty and I haven't started getting restaurant foods since the pandemic started. The Delta variant is in our city. I'm still scared of getting Covid.

We have a few apps that we can use for food delivery and takeouts. I've used it a few times since Covid. And yeah the Delta variant sounds pretty scary.

@DaddyEvil Yeah there are many areas here that they don't cover. Anyway homecooked meals are always best!

@cahaya1983 I live in a small city. We have the apps but there aren't any delivery drivers where I live.
I envy you, in this case.

@cahaya1983 I am a good cook, I do not like ready made food and Covid is an additional reason not to buy.

That's a common concern nowadays, for sure. I know many people who choose not to do so for the same reason you mentioned.

I had no idea of what Butter Chicken was so I looked it up. I saw two kinds, tomato gravy and cream gravy. I would imagine that they are very different.
Does your daughter favor one over the other?
I think it sounds really good.
I never order food. I make everything at home or pick it up while I'm out.

Ah yes the one I make at home is the creamy one. For the sauce, first I sauté onion, garlic and curry leaves in butter, then add milk, and a slice of cheddar cheese. Sometimes I add a few pieces of chilli, we always like a teeny weeny but of that spicy taste

The one that I use offers discounts all the time. If we pick up instead of having them delivered, we automatically get 20% off.

Ah okay. Well you can still survive without food delivery, I guess...homecooked meal is always better! Plus I think the delivery charge would be high if you're far from the restaurants, so maybe not worth it.

Pizza used to be the only delivery we ordered until this pandemic started.

I'm glad you pampered yourself with not-doing-anything-today. Good on yah!
Occasionally, Hubby orders pizza and picks them up.

Yep, gotta pamper myself once in a while! We love pizza too, especially for dinner. Haven't ordered any for quite some time now, though.

We don't order food online, most of the time we prepare our own food. If there are instances that we want something from a local restaurant we just order take out.

We do order takeouts every now and then, but since the lockdown we prefer not going out to buy and just have them delivered.
