Just saw an interview on YouTube, a girl in her mid twenties, has a disease of Vitiligo. She said in her school days her classmates used to call her by nicknamea 'cow, zebra and many more'. She used to cover her face with her hairs and scarfs and use to wear full covered dress whenever she goes out. She was too conscious about her skin color. Being a teenager she used to get fed up easily. But gradually she encouraged herself and thought why should she doing this, taking medicine for her entire life still not sure of total cure. Actually nobody would take a stand for you until you take a stand for yourself. If anyone tells someone you can't have a normal life because you have Vitiligo or whatever disease maybe, prove them wrong, because it is easy to give up. Now she has a decent job, happily married and having a normal life. Sometimes life will be pulling you back but it's your life you have to stand for you.

Poor thing. Having a skin disorder is every woman’s nightmare, but glad she stood up for herself. Too many mean bullies in our world.

@FaruMesh I agree. People like that are mean and nasty without compassion.

It would have been great if people stretch their hands instead of criticizing her

I'm glad she took control of her life. I agree with you. We need to stand up for ourselves. No one else will until we do.

Yes really happy for her, we can see people hiding when something bad happens to them, we have to change ourselves.

I have a co-worker with Vitiligo. She's not covering them up. I guess she accepted it.

That's good, it's just a skin disorder, it's all about the mindset of the people

I have not heard that vitiligo can be cured. But some people wear make up so it doesn´t show too much. It is high time that something was done to erradicate a bigger illness of our times: the bullying. Name calling can be more harmful than a skin trouble.

Not sure it can be cured, the girl said she took medicine for around 15 years and at last she stopped taking med.

We need to accept ourselves first...even if no one loves us we need to love ourself. That gives us confidence to fight and work for our sucess journey

@FaruMesh Because others won't respect you unless you respect yourself. She accepted herself..instead of crying on her ill fate. And see the result..
