India wins a medal on first day of Tokyo Olympics 2020. Olympic medals are very rare for the country of 1.38 billion so it is time for celebration for entire country. The silver medal has been won by Mirabai Chanu in women weight lifting in 49 kg class. It is a proud moment for whole India and President of India aptly congratulated the athlete on winning this medal. Hope other athletes participating in the games bring glory to the country? How's your country performing in the games?

Yes I read that in news that she won silver medal in weightlifting. I remember 20 years back we never used to win any medal in the Olympics. That feels sad as being one of the most populated country we never used to win any medal.

You are very true. We used to win gold medals only in hockey and a lone bronze in wrestling until it changed somewhat a few years back. It is indeed a shame for second most populated country in the world.

Congratulations to you also. It is great to see small country like yours is garnering gold medals. It is shame we can't garner enough talent despite being second largest populated country in the world.
