How do you deal with living in the world of "Big Brother"?

I had a simple desire today. I wanted to go to a San Francisco Giants baseball game.
As a former baseball player, I like to catch batting practice home runs and give them to children in the bleachers.
I contacted the the Giants by email, and even was allowed to leave a phone message.
All I want to know is whether the Giants will be having batting practice before today's game.
I have not heard back by email or phone.
The end result is that I will go swimming today, and not spend $60 or so on ticket prices, hot dogs, and beer. And several children, who might have become life-long fans of baseball, will not.
Has "Big Brother" affected your ability to be a participating citizen of your community?

Is this a case of Big Brother or just Corporate Apathy?

@TheHorse Big Brother means spying and overbearing control to me. This feels more like a case of "we Don't Care About Our Customers" to me.

@TheHorse You're probably right. I'm just a greeting cards salesman. I don't know much about Big Brother.

What does missing batting practice have to do with Big Brother?

I'm not quite sure, but then I've never been into sports, so... I guess not. Unless you count missing fireworks last year because of the pandemic. Then, yeah.

@kaylachan Yeah, but it wasn't that good a game.
