Watermelon and Tomatoes at the Door

Another nice surprise today. A delivery from my sweet neighbor again.
Watermelon and fresh garden tomatoes. You cannot go wrong with fresh.
His tomatoes are coming in pretty fast from his garden. Another neighbor he usually shares with moved, so I will probably get more now.
And this fresh watermelon. So good on a hot day. He is the best.
I shared some sweet peaches I got from a local peach truck over the weekend. He was happy to get the peaches.

We have people who share produce with us and it's wonderful! Watermelon is hard to grow in Michigan, our growing season isn't long enough. One time my grandma planted watermelon, she got about four small ones that year.

@CarolDM Jay talks about growing fist melons, back when he was growing up. They were very small watermelons, he said. Did you grow up in Tennessee?
