I really admire his ground-breaking discovery that ageing is a disease. It's not normal that we age so quickly. He once said, we can even add 10 years to our estimated lifespan.
Dr. Fred Alan Wolf once said; there are many scientists, but only few have a ground-breaking ideas and vision, and Dr. David A. Sinclair is one of the few.

Personally, I believe we should let nature take its course, on its own as for as the aging process goes. I look at it as a natural process instead of a disease. But we all have the right to choose what to believe. Love the tortoise in the photo.

Personally I think seeing ageing as a disease is BS
Also, if we live longer that'd have a massive impact on things like pensions and healthcare.
For sure it'd make the retirement age go up

What he meant is we can do something to delay ageing or even reverse it. So you can live healthy even at the old age.

@Mike197602 I think the point is it's better to delay ageing so you can enjoy more of your life even if you are old... and still be able to do things that you love...

Hello Bonnie, maybe you can visit Ireland in your holiday in the future. I'm originally from the Philippines, but I lived here for more than a decade.

@bunnybon7 Well, the funny thing was.... I always dream of living in the USA, but I ended up marrying an Irish man, so that's why I'm here. But no regrets, it's just beautiful, and maybe we will have a holiday in Homer Alaska one day...

Our life is finite, due to cells breaking down. We should enjoy the brief time we have on this planet rather than try to live longer and longer in my opinion. The earth can only support so many people anyway. Live a long and healthy life then gracefully and quietly pass is the goal of many.

I respect your opinion, but there are root causes why we age and there's something we can do to delay it and still live a healthy lifestyle and enjoy the things we love.

Our environment makes all the difference in the way we age. If you read back the Old Testament, you can see that they've lived up to a thousand years old. Hundred and hundreds of years and they even give birth. Simply shows that when earth was young and unpolluted, people don't age quite as fast as we do now.

@RebeccasFarm I'm glad I have met someone like you who share the same vision with Dr. David A. Sinclair. Does that mean you run every day and do a lot of fasting in a week?

I can't explain in details because I have no medical background, but the top 3 things he recommends are 1. Don't eat right away when you're hungry. 2. Run as if you are out of breath. 3. Eat less often, not in quantity but meaning no snacking in between. The reason for this is, to awaken the little guys in our body to work for us to keep our body active. Because at some point, these little guys will suddenly shut down and not working and that's why we age. But if we put them in survival mode, they will work for us.
