No lipstick for almost two years

Ever since the pandemic I do not use lipstick as if and when I go out I use a mask and see no point in wearing it.
Clothes are hanging in the wardrobe and have not been used for a while. Waiting to dress up and go for some event but I do not know when that will be
What is your story?

Can relate to you. I have lipstick which I know had already expired. They have been opened but unused since pandemic. There are also those given to me as present last year, but these were unopened. Since Pandemic i.only do my eyebrows and put on some eye makeup.

I know emphasis should be on eyes as that is how we express ourselves while talking during the pandemic

@allknowing and it's the part of our face that is exposed. Make up has been part of my grooming and wearing nothing looks incomplete.

Yes when I attend church on Sundays I don't put lipstick anymore since we will be wearing mask and it will just cover our lips

Wearing lipstick keeps our lips moist and that is one problem I notice. Looks odd to wear it at home,.

@allknowing
It does, and feels like you put something on your lips.

I think now there are new designer masks available in the market which are transparent from the lips so ladies can go for lipstick

You seem to have done a lot of research. I did not know such masks existed.

That is a wise thing to do as it keeps the lips moist. I am thinking of getting one for myself.

I love lipstick! But during this pandemic I never needed to wear it out - right, the mask always covered my lips. However, I did find that during Zoom meetings, putting on lipstick made me look nicer on camera (I guess that's why they wear heavy makeup for tv/movies !)

@allknowing Well, that was pretty much the only occasion anyone outside the house would see me with lipstick during this pandemic .

I haven't worn lipstick in... WOW! 57 years now.
But I rarely went out before the pandemic and Pretty would have made fun of me if I wore lipstick.

It is not far when men will also use make up. There are already salons for men which were not there before. So keep hoping and when that happens I can recommend some nice lipstick brands to you

@allknowing I don't know if there will be salons like that for men here... but if I ever need makeup lessons or suggestions, I'll be sure and ask you for help.
