Would you get vaccinated for $100?

Starting today New York City is giving people who receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine $100. This is their latest attempt to encourage residents to get vaccinated.
It will be interesting to see if vaccine rates increase notably as a result of this incentive. I don't think it will. Many people are hard-core against the vaccine which is unfortunate and $100 isn't going to change their minds. They would rather get sick and possibly die to "own the libs".
Starting Friday, any New York City resident who gets a first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine at a city-run vaccination site will receive $100.

I think it's strange that NY needs to pay people to be vaccinated. I think the $100 will only entice those who have put it off but who would get the vaccine anyway.

Well, since I got vaccinated for free, I would certainly do it for 100.00!

It may surprise you but reasons for being skeptical have little to do with politics and nothing to do with owning the libs.
A critical testing stage was skipped.
I'm not against vaccines, I just have trouble with THIS vaccine.
Safeguards were bypassed.
Any rational person should have concerns about it's safety.
I will take a vaccine after the live clinical trials show the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine over a period of time.

I have seen good intentions turn into horror too many times in my life to just accept an experimental vaccine.

There will be an extra long lineup, also people who have already received the vaccine included, to collect their $100!

I am already vaccinated but, if I wasn't, I wouldn't do it for the money. I don't think any amount of money would change the minds of many who have already chosen not to vaccinate. I don't think it's right or fair at all to try and bribe people into getting vaccinated.

I got vaccinated for nothing and found out that my health insurance company was going to give me $50 for it.
Let’s be perfectly honest: I’m selfish, so I got vaccinated for me.

We would have paid that TO BE vaccinated, not the other way around.
I don't understand some of the logic behind the non-vaccine population.
My hubby's workplace actually paid him out $100 on his pay this week for getting his vaccine, funny how that works opposite isn't it?

Those that thought of getting vaccinated but kept putting it off may get it now to get the $100. Those that had no intention of getting the vaccine will not do so just to get one hundred bucks. Just because people refuse to get the vaccine doesn't mean they will get sick and possibly even die from covid. Can't believe the gov't has to resort to this.

A chance at a million helped a little here but not much. But I feel a smaller reward with more winners would have helped more.

Those who are biased against the vaccination will not get vaccinated what ever you pay them.

I don't need to be bribed. I thought it was important to get vaccinated; and we did.
