Signing up for summer savings again!

While going through the mail today I found the form from my employer asking if I wanted to sign up for summer savings for the next work year. HELL YEAH I DO!
I work 10 months a year. I am paid for 10 months. Many people who are anti-teacher think that we are overpaid and get paid to sit home and relax all summer. WRONG. We are only paid for the time that we work. What we DO have is an option for summer savings. They deduct 10% of each paycheck post-tax and hold on to it until the months that there is no work. They issue checks July 1, July 15, August 1, and August 15.
The haters love to say that teachers get paid for doing nothing all summer long. Nope. I'm just getting my own money that I have already earned back. I love having the summer savings option. That means I don't have to worry about saving up for the months with no pay. It is already in the bank!

I know some teachers that don't get that as an option and aren't getting a paycheck during those off-months. I'm glad you do have that kind of option to keep a paycheck coming.

I don't know if they do or don't. My teachers never went into detail. Well except to explain how salaries work. And that they don't get paid for the months they didn't work. I know my sister should've, instead of stealing from me.... but that's a reason why I don't live with my family anymore. @NJChicaa
