Do you have a house near beach?

Ever since I was a child I remember being excited and happy when my family goes to the beach whenever there is an occasion. Those are my golden days that I would never forget. But there is a time that I almost get drowned, but a stranger saw me struggling so he helped me. When my parents find out about it we never go to the beach again. I feel so sad, but I can't argue against them about it. If you are a parent please don't do the same thing to your kids. So many good memories at the beach. So, I'm an adult now and I just remembered everything about it. So, as I get older I always think of having a house near beach. Do you have one? Congrats! I believe you are lucky to have one!

No I don’t have a house near the beach. The closest beach is 3 hours away and we do go almost once a year did we can more. We are going on a few weeks we have friends they live pretty close to the beach and the kids love it when we take them. We do plan for on the future which I’m saving up for us to move closer to the beach so we don’t have to drive 3 hours to get there.

Actually we have the same idea. I am planning to buy a property near beach and enjoy my life accessible to a paradise nearby. You should go more often with your kids and buy them floating banana boat or something. I had enough of the city stress and it's not good for me as i get older. So I come up with an idea like this.

@ShyBear88 I got your point. What I'm suggesting you to buy is a floating gear for the safety of your children. The sand is given it feels peaceful to walk around but here in Philippines we do picnic beside the beach cottage and sing karaoke while eating and getting drunk. That's what I miss the most.

@winterlion we live in a townhouse they have school and stuff so we can’t go often also my husband has a job where only 2 people at a time can take time off. So we do like summer or spring break and go to the beach once a year so that we can see other family members during the holiday.
I don’t buy the kids swim stuff munch because of storage and also none them know how to swim yet and one hardly ever goes into the water nor myself I like the sand that’s it. We wo I’ll never live on the water but like a hour away is more doable for like a weekend trip. 3 hour trip down can some times actually take 6 or more to get up there depending on other people traveling down there also have to make sure there is allergy friendly food for my youngest

How I wish I have one! These days beach lots are very expensive and are not affordable at all. For me it's also very scary to live near the beach because of the threat of a storm surge or tsunami.

It's true but those natural disaster only happens every 100 years. But here in Philippines even in Manila you don't need to go to the beach to experience high level of water. Water arises on the street wherever you go, whenever there is continuous raining so everyone can practice swimming once in a while. lol

@winterlion Sadly storm surges and tsunamis happen more frequently now especially during strong typhoons and earthquakes.

Our home is near a scrapyard and a water planet. The closest my relatives and I lived near a beach was in the former Canal Zone in Panama.

You should try bringing a friend and visit your relative for an occasion and unwind on the sunset view.

No, but since our place is a coastal area we're lucky that beaches abound. We're near these beaches and very accessible to us. Takes a few minutes from home and lo you're already in the shore.

@winterlion not now because of covid. As much as possible we don't allow other people come to our homes.

Lucky me! I grew up in my grandparents place which is just 5 mins away from the beach. Swimming, diving, breakfast or BBQ at the beach is fun but what I love the most being near from the beach is that I get to see amazing sunsets everyday. Seeing sunsets it therapeutic. :)
You might want to visit our hometown-Moalboal, it's 3 hours away from Cebu City when you get a chance for vacation.

Good for you! You better stay there and stay away from the city, it will just give you stress. LOL. You should try jogging in the sunrise good for cardio before you start your day. That's what I really want to achieve someday. You are lucky to be a friend because they can hang up with you on your place. LOL

@winterlion Living in Taguig at the moment but absolutely will live permanently there when I retire. And yes, my friends always anticipate when I go home as they also wanted to be there too relax and enjoy the beach. (even more excited than me) :)

We used to have a place near the beach when my grandfather was alive. Our extended family would gather there sometimes. Made some of my most beautiful childhood memories there.
