The sun is shinning brightly and the washing maching is calling me to start a load of whites.
This has been a cold and very dry winter. The weathermen say it is the dryest in 72 years. I suppose that at one moment or another there will be shortage of water.
I just put my potato to boil in a very small pot. Just the amount to cover it. And after it is done, I´ll use the water for something else.
It seems that we will haveto be careful with everything we have.
Are you more aware that you have to take care of the planet? I am, little by little.

We all have to be aware of every little thing and make conscious effort to save our planet. We are already late to waking up to the alarm that Nature kept sending since years.

@TheSojourner We hope so. Everything that we do in our daily lives have to be done consciously. Every little step counts.. right from saving water, energy, waste segregation, no to plastic...we can actually make a difference.

@marguicha Yes. We are already too late and we can't stay ignorant any more.

My daughters have 3 small containers (milk and coffee cans) in the kitchen. There they place different scraps from the kitchen. One of them is to make compost at home. Claudia bought a new blender to process the rests of veggies the same day.

It's so sad because I think it doesn't really matter how much we as individuals try to take care of the planet and consume less plastics or so....if big companies do nothing it's just....such a small effort from us :(
it makes me sad

We don´t have to consume what the big companies are selling to us. For ages we made our bread and tortillas. We don´t need cereals in our breakfast.

I was shocked once when I read about the amount of water needed to make one pair of jeans.

I've known this for as long as I can remember. I do my part when I can. However, taking care of the planet... like anything else... is all about money.

The climate change has made the weather more and more weird every year. Droughts, floods, wildfires, extreme heat and cold...What will be next?
