Have talked about these crepe myrtles in my yard before. This is one of three planted in the yard two years ago. The blooms are so pretty with the deep crimson color.
Glad to see all three are growing and are up to about seven feet tall now. The one beside the house is over the roof, grows every year.
Snapped this photo a few minutes ago. Just realized I captured my neighbor's yard (the sweet man with the tomatoes and watermelon). He has a horse buggy in his yard.
He made this buggy (carriage) years ago. And used to decorate it for every holiday. Now it sits empty but still a nice yard deco. His wife was always enjoyed decorating.

Crepe Myrtles are one of my favorite kinds of trees! At my previous house I lived at, my yard was full of them. I never butchered them back each year like many people do, but let them grow into full trees. There's almost nothing prettier than a crepe myrtle tree in full bloom.
I wish I could plant these trees at my current house, but my yard is completely covered in a thick canopy of oak, pine and maple trees. Not enough sunlight for a crepe myrtle to thrive.

@CarolDM I don't know about my yard being beautiful, but it sure is shady, which is great for helping keep my summer electric bill down.

I love that buggy. Has been there since we moved here. He used to deck it out at Christmas and all holidays. The roses are about half of what they usually are. So I am happy for what I have. They did not visit these crepe myrtles.

I like the grass,. you have wide yards. I like the grass, children would love to run around. You have no fence in between your neighbor? Nice blooms too.
