Sometimes The More You Know

Today, I was sitting here mylotting, and I read a post from a mylotter, talking about crocheting, and others that responded to the post. I want to do a lot of things, and never really get started. What surprised me was to find out it is just not me. I always thought I had some kind of problem, being slow or just plain lazy. But when I read others who had materials in their home, and just hadn't got around to it. It actually made me feel better about myself. Mylot is a great place, because you can learn a lot about yourself, others.

Definitely! Believe me, I have tons of project ideas and hardly ever follow through with them . We are all different, but we are also similar, perhaps more than we realize . . . how neat we can share so much on myLot!

@much2say, agree ,and we also learn from each others' joys, pains , failures, success . Though know and meet here virtually but ideas are universally true , feelings real and the aches felt by one is the same ache felt in real for all no matter who you are and where you may be.

That is a good habit. I wish I can finish what I start. Even emptying bowels is not done completely. But I blame it on door bell or phone calls. For some strange reason, people seem to arrive only when I am in the loo. Evil folks.

I loved cooking. But my parent is ...sigh. From the last couple of months, I have taken to it with vengeance. He just whimpers. I have gotten appreciation for my cake from guess who? A chef working in five star hotel. Now, that is what I call memory revival. Now I am confident of baking cake. More to follow.

I agree! I've learned lots about myself from other lotters. I bought a bunch of small jenga blocks to create something with and never did.

I like that too. In learning about others, it helps you see yourself more clearly. I had always assumed that everyone lives the type of life that I enjoy. Learning how difficult life can be really humbled me. What I take for granted or complain about would be welcomed with open arms by people in other places. MyLot is unique. I know of no other forum like it.

Yes, true, we learn from each other. We also learn heartaches from people here and received the warmest solutions. It is an awesome site full of people across the globe.

I use to work for a lady, and told her about this site. She hated to be alone. She had no interest.

When I was downsizing and decluttering, I came across some cross-stitch that I never got around to doing and that wasn't the only project that was half done. Believe me, you are not alone.

in my case, reading these things doesn't make me feel any kind of way because i know that my laziness isn't connected to theirs, i have to find a way to get out of that state but also.... it's alright to be lazy sometimes

I also want to learn many things, but I often feel that before doing what I want I have to do something else, which is doing laundry, cooking, looking for a job and cleaning the house, so time is literally all used up, and only few little for rest.
