Anyone who watched even part of the recent House Select Committee hearing on the Capitol insurrection on January 6 of this year and didn't shed a few tears as those brave police officers testified isn't human! What those brave men and many others went through is something nobody should ever have to endure! The fact that this horrific act of terror was carried out by American citizens makes it so much more infuriating and terrifying! Did any of you watch the hearing? I unfortunately didn't post anything on this site after the insurrection and attempted coup but I watched every minute of that horrible incident on TV that day. I shed more than a few tears that day as well. I'm glad they're holding these hearings and that they're apparently going to be subpoenaing quite a few witnesses in hopes of getting to the bottom of who was behind this horrific act. I suspect it's going to point at the former resident of our White House, Donald Trump, and some of his "pals" including some who were actually in the Capitol on that horrible day! Any thoughts?

I'm glad to hear they're trying to catch who did this, but I can't bring myself to follow up on it. It's not like I want to ignore what happened, but I'm ready to let it go.

I don't think we should ever "let it go". This was an attempted coup, an attempt to destroy our democracy and to MURDER as many of our elected officials and their families and staff members as they could get to. No, I'll NEVER be ready to let it go. Those terrorists are traitors to our country and they need to be dealt with accordingly.

I didn't watch the testimony from the officers. The whole thing is just so upsetting to me.

To be honest I'm kind of a sentimental fool I guess because I still cry when they show reports on that horrific day. I cried a lot while I was watching the testimony. I didn't see the entire hearing but what I did see was very powerful.

You're not the only one. Hopefully the House Select Committee will get to the bottom of it.
