I just took a Bing Poll...Bing is a little Search Engine that my friend Bill runs in his spare time. And really, that's a bit of a stretch nowadays. Bill spends hardly any time, spare or otherwise, on it. What he does now, is he hires a bunch of neighborhood kids to mow the lawn, empty the wastebaskets, write code and sweep up at Microsoft, that's another little company he runs that you've never heard of. And when the kids get done with those chores, they run Bing.
Anyway, once in a while, several times a day, Bing has polls and I took one of them today entitled: Are you more of a cat person or a dog person?
I answered Cat and I found out that I'm in the minority again. Because 26% of the people who also took the Poll said Cat. 51% said Dog.
23% said Both and I could have gone with that one, too, without violating too many of our numerous Internet Honesty Laws. I have two dogs, in fact, and they're great. But I also have five cats and they're better.
*******
Bing poll
Are you more of a cat person or a dog person?

While I grew up with both, I've always been more of a cat person. My husband is, too and we have three cats of our own.

Put me in the cat brigade. I like dogs but I agree cats are better, Not as much work, and they don't bark!

Cats are a lot less trouble. And the no barking thing is a big plus.

@xander6464 That's right...nor do you have to walk them in the rain or whenever they think they need to go out.

@snowy22315 I don't have to walk mine...that's a big advantage to living in the country...but I have to get up and let them in and out.

Even though I prefer dogs as pets, cats are easier to deal with in terms of keeping them inside the house since I had to take my dogs out of the home for nature breaks.

That's one of the big advantages of cats from a practical perspective.

@Deepizzaguy I'm sorry to hear that. Losing a pet is awful.

@xander6464 That is one area I learned after my latest dog passed away due to old age last year.

Some dogs are scary. I'm lucky because mine aren't.

I have not been on Bing for eons! Well, I'd have to say I'm a dog person. I grew up with dogs. I "like" cats, but never actually had one due to allergies. And my kids inherited those allergies . Hey, they didn't ask about parakeets (we have 3).

I don't have cats but I'm a cat person. I don't use Bing, but the polls sound interesting.

@aureategloom Dogs are a big responsibility everywhere but it is about double when you live in an apartment.

@xander6464 i wanted a dog when i was little but my dad told me that dogs are big responsibility when you live in a building - taking them out, specially during winter, barking can disturb neighbors and stuff like that, so i gave up that idea.
