Good morning, good evening everybody on mylot. It is 8.45 in the morning of Thursday, 5th August. It's a rainy morning today no Sunshine in sight. I had to cancel my morning walk today as it started raining as I was getting ready for a walk.
Some hope for a gold medal at Tokyo Olympics after both hokey teams disappointed when wrestler Ravi Dahiya stormed into finals of 57 kg freestyle wrestling yesterday. He defeated Kazakhstan wrestler in semi finals. There were high hopes on hokey teams both men's and women's when they reached semifinals after long time for men and first time for women. Hope they will at least win a bronze. Men's bronze medal match against Germany is presently in progress.
Good news from hockey field India won bronze medal match against Germany and won a medal for first time after Gold in Moscow Olympics in 1980. Congratulations to Indian hockey team.

seems like everyone has some good new about Olympics and their representatives.

@aureategloom Despite having one billion plus population we had to be without a medal for several Olympics. People used to express their frustration for some time after the games and then forget about it until next Olympics.

So far we have one gold in weightlifting and a silver in boxing. We have another boxer in the finals so we are assured of another silver medal.

@allen0187 Yes it indeed is a proud moment for the country. We just had had first gold in athletics. Our athlete won a gold in javelin throw. A great moment for the country.

The U S has been underachieving in the Summer Olympics due to a few sports stars who are using the game to play politics and protest the evils of our nation. However there have been some good American sports stars like female wrestler Tamrya Mensah Stock who won the gold medal.
