A few days ago I was watching a movie and it was just a random movie and not much to talk about it but there was a small scene when a person was delivering the dialogue that he's working for 18 hours in a day and has saved money with it even by starving or eating just once in a day means they are spending a very tough life.
I cannot believe they are working for 18 hours and over that not taking meals properly because your body may not work like it used to be and personally not possible for me to do that.
Have you ever worked for this long in a day? How was the experience?

I don't know anyone personally who has such long hours of work, but yes there are people who work long hours to bring meals to their plate. My household help works in two houses and that takes few hours in her day and then she does afternoon shift in shirt company putting buttons, ironing shirts and packing them. She works seven hours there. And then she has all her household chores. If I see she sleeps only for 6 hours and is working the rest of the time. But she has got decent education for her sons.

Working 12 to 18 hours a day is just normal......if you are the business owner if you own the business and like what you are doing it's normal because all the work you put in is for yourself and your family and not for a company or a boss we hate.

@Butterfingers I recall a famous quote - When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost; when the character is lost, all is lost.
The meaning is wealth is transient.

I have worked two part-time jobs but I do not believe worked all those hours between the two jobs. Was part of it overtime or without overtime?

a few years ago there was an external attack on my customer's network we ended up working for 54 straight hours. You are right, by the end of that we were fried and not effective.

That's terrible. Last year I remembered we worked almost that long because we need to finish work when.we distributed financial assistance. We started 8 am until 2 am, but we took lunch and snacks of course. That happens rarely. Our health is more important. But I've heard some people work 16 hours so if they start working at 7 am and ends 11 pm they still have ample time to sleep.

OFWs do experience this, most often who falls victims are the housekeeper, maid and nanny. Who works in countries that the employer's think they bought slaves not actual human being who went there for doing the job.
