Broke My Bifocal Glasses

Last week, I broke my bifocal glasses, lucky for me I had a few pairs of cheap glasses that I keep in some of the rooms. I only need the glasses for seeing close because I had 2 cataract surgeries a few years ago. Until then, I never had any problem from seeing close, so it bugs me a lot that it turned out that way.

@marlina I did not realize that. I will be having that surgery one day if I live that long..the eye doc told me I had the beginnings of them and that it would be about 10 yrs to get the surgery. That was 5 yrs ago.

I see a little better after my cataract surgery. Hubs sees a lot better. I have trouble seeing things close up unless there is a lot of light.

@marlina No. I see fine close up without my glasses. In fact, I have to take my glasses off when I'm on the computer or reading. There just has to be enough light.

@CarolDM , I think so as I would not like to have to do the stairs again if I forgot my glasses.

That's too bad that you broke your bifocals, are you able to take them in to get repaired or will you just rely on your spares for when you need them?

Sorry you broke your glasses. Everybody is different when it comes to how the recover from cataract surgery. Some I know don't need glasses anymore, others need just reading glasses. Others need to continue wearing glasses all the time.

Same with my grandma. She also had 2 cataract surgeries 5 years ago and another after cataract early this year. It's because she didn't listened and didn't used glasses for reading and watching. You should always wear those glasses dear.
