My younger daughter sent message that she's getting 'sushi bake' delivered for lunch. I got a excited because I was already hungry. My elder daughter opened a can of tuna for breakfast. She stirred an omelet which is not to my taste.
So I went to bed for my noon nap at the prospect of having a real good lunch.
I could hear my elder daughter playing a Kuhlau sonatina on the piano. Sweet music that sent me napping soon enough.
Half an hour after, I coughed. Forgot to turn on the fan. My daughter was still on the piano, recording her sonatina. A bit crossed she had to play all over again.
Then a message came, the food delivery is already at the gate. The delivery boy said he waited for the piano playing to finish. Said the music was soft and soothing.
Wow! The compliment's a first. My neighbors never said any praise for the music.
Glad I coughed, else the delivery boy would have waited longer.

What a nice thing for the delivery boy to do. A beautiful compliment. Kind and sincere. I'll bet that made your day.
I hope he got a tip

Tip is always ready. The bottled water ain't. It was a long noon ride via motorbike from an adjacent city.
My daughter said we must buy bottled water for the delivery boys. Going to the grocery in a while...
Thanks.

Probably a good way for the delivery guy to relax from his strenuous work.

@eileenleyva yup, I give either a bottle of water and some snacks to delivery personnel. Other times, I give extra face masks. Those little things definitely help.

Driving a motorbike under the noontime heat is really strenuous. My daughter felt guilty we have no bottled water for the delivery boy.

@allen0187 Absolutely. Those little things matters very much.
Will ask my daughter to order another box of face masks. With the delta variant highly transmissible, we ought to give two to those without masks. Thanks for reminding me.

Most enjoyable melodies Kuhlau gave us. It's music to the ears. Very relaxing. Lightens the mood.
You still play?

Thank you. Yes, we enjoyed the sushi bake very much. While rolling the sushi on the nori, I did think about how the samurai of old came up with the food.

The sushi bake is so good we finished it all in a jiffy. Funny thing there was a sheet of nori left I was prodding my daughter to eat it. She wouldn't. Sigh.

A relatively new Japanese variation of the sushi roll. I think this came out only this pandemic time. Not sure.

Most likely, the piano music was a respite from his exhausting job. So, he enjoyed it.
Or, could be he also loves music.
Thanks, we enjoyed every bite.

Yup. He was a stranger who whispered an expression of kindness. He didn't even know how important his words are to me.

That is true. It has been so long since my elder daughter really played the piano. She was immersed with heavy work that brought her far from home. The pandemia sort of kept her aground. I was surprised when I heard her playing a few melodies. Quite recently that she played sonatina and fugues again. She still has the touch.
Thank you.

It's OB-Gyne week and my younger daughter thought there was too much food in their department, so she sent a tray of sushi bake to me and my elder daughter. Just happened we were also our of supplies.
Am very proud of my two girls. Thank you.
